We designed our own paper helicopters in Science this week. Our trigger question was: What makes a good helicopter? We found out that the smaller helicopters reached the ground faster than the larger helicopters because there was less surface area to experience air resistance. We added paper clips to the bottom of the helicopters and concluded that the heavier helicopters reached the ground faster than the lighter helicopters.
