3rd and 4th Class went to the launch of ‘Plastic Free Week’ in the Hotel Meyrick this morning. NUI Galway, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and schools across Galway City are participating in the initiative, which aims to reduce the use of single-use, disposable plastic products, through action, education and example.
Amongst the tips to reduce plastic include switching to reusable bags, reusable cups, reusable water bottles and carrying a ‘spork’ instead of using disposable cutlery!
