Active Week is fast approaching! Activities such as Soccer, Gaelic football, Rugby, Hockey, Swimming, Hip Hop and Yoga will take place throughout the week - a very Active Week is in store again this year!!

Junior and Senior Infants finished off their 'Farm' topic today by making their very own butter! And of course they had to test it on some yummy biscuits to make sure it was just right!

We were honoured to have Olive visit today. She read excerpts from The Chronicles of Cadaver College series to Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Class. - Very enjoyable and inspirational! Thank you Olive.

Dr. Barton met with all the classes today. He discussed the meaning of archaeology, the role of the archaeologist and investigated and created stories about some artefacts he had gathered. No doubt we have some future archaeologists in our midst at St. Nicholas’!...

1st – 4th Classes were playing  Gaelic football with Dennis in the hall again today.- Lots of hand passing, soloing  and team work going on – a great session full of action and skill!

P4C resumed today for the final term. It is fantastic to see the children so engaged in the activities! It is definitely giving us alternative ways to view things more deeply and effectively and to think outside the box. We look forward to our session again next week!...

Drama with Paula also started back again this week. Poetry, singing, dance & acting....there is no end to our talents!!

Chinese Classes with Cathy also started back today. Classes take place every Tuesday from 2.30 – 3.15. It is a great opportunity for the children to experience Chinese culture first hand through language, art and music.

It was business as usual today as Henry returned for the final term of soccer coaching this school year. Lots of cheering and excitement was to be heard from the playground as the children joined in the fun and games!
