What an exciting morning for 5th and 6th class….extracting DNA from bananas! Thank you so much to Cell Explorers who are based in NUIG, who provided the children with all the resources needed for the experiment, and in particular a huge thank you to Janic who was fantastic at guiding the class through the DNA extraction and teaching the children about DNA, all via ZOOM. The children were even able to bring home some of the DNA that they extracted! Maith sibh a pháistí!
