Today we had our first cycling session with Pádraic. When he arrived at the school he checked all the tyres and the brakes on each bike to make sure they were safe to cycle. Then we all put on our helmets and hi viz jackets and made our way to a big car park where we had lots of space to cycle. In our session today we were concentrating on pedalling and braking and remembering to look forward at all times! We did lots of fun activities so we could practice these skills. We were weaving in and out through cones! We had a slow bicycle race! We even had an activity where one cyclist was the ‘hare’ and the other cyclists had to play catch up. It was so much fun! We cannot wait for our next session again next week!
