6th class had a fantastic trip to Atlantaquaria in Salthill this morning. They got to see Cúram’s displays about coccolithophores, alginate and even see diatoms through a telescope. All of these were discussed in great detail last year when they were working on the project ‘Tiny Creatures, Big Cures’ with Cúram, Galway Atlantaquaria and teaching artist Alison MacCormaic. The children had the opportunity to dissect squid before having a tour of the aquarium. Thank you so much to all involved.
