Yesterday morning we were very lucky to have one of our parents come in to talk to First and Second Class about research that she has carried out and a trip she has taken to the Arctic Circle. She explained the differences between the Arctic and the Antarctic. She talked about various animals that live in these locations and she also talked about expeditions that have taken place, especially to the Arctic Circle. We saw examples of artwork and writing that was done by the people aboard these ships at the time. The children absolutely loved the visit and the task of compiling a magazine displaying information and artefacts of that time afterwards.
The senior classes are also looking forward to a visit in the near future!
